COVID-19

Here you will find all the up-to-date information regarding how Christ Central is responding to COVID-19. This will be regularly updated as more information is released, so please do keep checking this page for information you may need.

We are now gathering physically at the John Pounds Centre and continuing our Live Stream online.  Here are some of the things that we have done and you can do to keep the risk of Covid-19 transmission down:

  • Tea and coffee is taken outside (when weather permits) or in the main hall where the ceilings are higher.
  • Communion is individually portioned.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at several stations around the centre.
  • Masks and a one way system are recommended when in corridors and public areas.
  • A live stream of the service is played in the cafe area should you wish to join with us but not be in the hall with too many people.
  • Lateral Flow Tests are available for free at any pharmacy should you wish to test before and/or after attending one of our gatherings.
  • The NHS Test and Trace app will provide automatic notifications if you have been in close contact with an individual who has subsequently tested positive.

Offering and Requesting Support

To meet some of the needs of those who have been told to self-isolate, we have set up a support framework which will match those in need of support, with others who are in the best position to provide it.  The buttons below give you the opportunity to both ask for support and/or to offer help to others.  Each button will take you to an e-form, which we would ask you to complete and submit. Then, a member of the team will contact you to make an initial response and get the process started. If you have any questions about this, please email the church office.

Join Us Online

While some of our church family are still unable to gather together physically at the moment, most of our meetings will continue to take place through the Christ Central Church Youtube channel, which can be accessed at youtube.com/christcentralchurch. Meeting and information updates are being made available on our public Facebook page facebook.com/christcentral.ch.

Just like in the real world all our events are publicly and freely accessible and you will be able to both watch and participate in them, sometimes interactively!

Our main Sunday morning meetings will be hosted on the Christ Central Church Channel. We also share regular updates, and a daily encouragement on this channel. If you subscribe to this channel, you can receive notifications when we are about to go live.
