Dan moved to Portsmouth in 2010 with his wife, Charis. They met at university in Canterbury, where they were both training to be primary school teachers. During his first year, Dan came to faith through an Alpha course run by a local church.
While at university, Dan got involved in children’s and youth work and went on to complete an internship year after graduating. After moving to Portsmouth, he and Charis quickly became part of church life at Christ Central. Dan helped lead children’s and youth groups, joined the eldership team in January 2015 and came onto the staff team in 2018 to help oversee the under-18s and student ministries.
Today, Dan and Charis live in Baffins with their three children and are part of our Stacey Centre congregation. Dan oversees our under-18s work and events throughout the year, alongside helping to lead the congregation at the Stacey Centre.
Dan loves seeing people grow in faith, deepen their understanding of the Bible and encourage one another as they follow Jesus together. For him, it’s been a joy to watch Christ Central grow over the years—in number, maturity and love for Jesus.
