This week we launch our new sermon series Exodus: Gathered for His glory. EXODUS 15: 1 - 21 Exodus has been a long journey for Moses and the people of God. Moses grew up in the house of Pharaoh, raised by Pharoah’s daughter; encountered God in the burning bush; led the people out from his rule into the desert, and crossed the Red Sea. Exodus 15 is a joyful song of worship to the God who has rescued them and set them free! Exodus documents the first corporate (gathered) encounters with God, as the people of Israel are called out of Egypt, God sets them apart, to be a distinct people. They are the only people out of all the nations of Earth, that God has chosen to reveal Himself to and presence Himself with. As we gather this term and explore the book of Exodus, we are to behold God and experience something of His glory, our gatherings are to reflect a distinctiveness ofGod's presence so that lives are transformed by encounter.
