EXODUS 32: 1-14 Moses is in the presence of God. He is on the mountain being spoken to by God and being given the law. The people who are gathering together go to Aaron and, because Moses is taking too long, demanding that other gods be made for them to worship! Exodus documents the first corporate (gathered) encounters with God, as the people of Israel are called out of Egypt, God sets them apart, to be a distinct people. They are the only people out of all the nations of Earth, that God has chosen to reveal Himself to and presence Himself with. As we gather this term and explore the book of Exodus, we are to behold God and experience something of His glory, our gatherings are to reflect a distinctiveness ofGod's presence so that lives are transformed by encounter.
