EXODUS 33: 1-11 Moses and the people set up the 'tent of meeting', just outside of their camp. This is the place where God’s presence would fall as the people came to speak with Him. The pillar of cloud descends to show that the glory of God is there, with His people. Exodus documents the first corporate (gathered) encounters with God, as the people of Israel are called out of Egypt, God sets them apart, to be a distinct people. They are the only people out of all the nations of Earth, that God has chosen to reveal Himself to and presence Himself with. As we gather this term and explore the book of Exodus, we are to behold God and experience something of His glory, our gatherings are to reflect a distinctiveness ofGod's presence so that lives are transformed by encounter.
