Exodus 35:4-25 - Building a home for God's presence

Exodus 35:4-25 - Building a home for God\'s presence

Moses and the people begin to build the tabernacle for the Lord. God gives specific and detailed descriptions of how to build this tabernacle for Him to dwell with His people in and how the people should approach God once the tabernacle has been built. Moses’ job here is to excite and lead the people to do what God has commanded them, and to get them to contribute to the building of this place. From Series: "Exodus: Gathered for His glory"

Exodus documents the first corporate (gathered) encounters with God, as the people of Israel are called out of Egypt, God sets them apart, to be a distinct people. They are the only people out of all the nations of Earth, that God has chosen to reveal Himself to and presence Himself with. As we gather this term and explore the book of Exodus, we are to behold God and experience something of His glory, our gatherings are to reflect a distinctiveness ofGod's presence so that lives are transformed by encounter.
