Matt is married to Yvette and together they have three young children. He first came to Portsmouth in 2008 to study at university and has been part of Christ Central ever since. Over the years, Matt has become increasingly involved in church life and was appointed as an elder in 2023. He is mainly based at the Stacey Centre congregation, where he enjoys serving and building relationships within the church family.
During the week, Matt works as a primary school teacher at a school in Portsmouth. His experience working with children and families has given him a real passion for seeing people grow, flourish and discover the hope that Jesus offers.
Matt has a particular heart for people to know the love of Jesus and to see the church sharing that love with those around them. He is passionate about building genuine relationships, encouraging others in their faith and helping people become more confident in following Jesus.
Having been part of Christ Central since arriving in Portsmouth, Matt is grateful to have seen the church grow and develop over many years. He is excited to keep serving alongside the wider church family and to see more people encounter Jesus and grow in faith, both in Portsmouth and beyond.
