Course: Civil Engineering
What are you doing next year, Andrew?
“I’m doing a Civil Engineering placement in Dorset, working for the council. I don’t really know what I’m doing yet, but yeah, it should be good. I see a placement as being half an adult but not really, so you can pretend to be an adult for a year.”
How does being a Christian affect how you are on your course?
“I think with engineering as a whole, you work a lot with clients, or your boss. Even if they’re getting irritating, you have to show love towards them. Even if someone’s blaming you for something you didn’t do, like a house fell down and you’re like ‘that wasn’t me’, you have to understand where they’re coming from and not just get angry at them.”
How did you find ChristCentral Church?
“Well, at first it was the free pizza. I think the main bit was seeing how many students there were there. The students are the best bit about university. Back in London, I never really had Christian friends my age, but at university it’s probably the best bit of being here.”
